Laos Coffee, Hand Delivered

In November, my brother and his girlfriend Claire headed off on a trip of a lifetime.  Landing first in Tokyo, they visited Japan, New Zealand, Fiji, Hong Kong, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Vietnam and India before returning home a week or so ago.  You can read all about their trip here.

Despite travelling light, they kindly managed to bring us back some souvenirs.  For Megan and me (to share with Mum and Dad) was a bag of shade-grown coffee beans direct from the growers in Paksong, Laos.  You can find out all about their plantation on their website.

Having ordered a grinder shortly after their return, due to the long weekend it only arrived yesterday, so this morning was my first attempt at grinding and brewing from beans.

It's definitely worth the effort.
