Ben and Louise's Wedding in Whitby
Earlier in the year I met up with Louise Ryan and her mum to discuss photographing Louise's wedding here in Whitby in October. They had been less than impressed with another photographer who had been recommended to them and were keen to find someone they felt more comfortable with and who would meet Louise's photographic expectations on the day.
I think the one of the biggests lessons I've learnt so far in my self-employment is that business is all about relationships. It's deeply personal; people buy from people they trust, whether it's products or services. Nothing can beat meeting a client for a coffee and taking the time to carefully discuss their plans, ensuring both parties know the other's requirements and limitations.
Louise was happy for me to take on the job, and I was confident I'd meet her expectations on the day, which happened to be a rather cold, blustery and grey one in October.
Here are some of my favourite images from their Whitby wedding:
The exhchange of rings at Whitby Register Office followed by a blustery walk onto the West Cliff.
We contacted Jack when we were planning our Whitby wedding. After an initial meeting to discuss our requirements we felt confident he would provide what we were looking for. Despite the blustery and cold weather on our wedding day Jack ensured all our requirements were met and we are really pleased with the results. We would highly recommend him.
